Our club is a non-profit group of men and women of all levels and disciplines (hobbyists to advanced), sharing ideas, techniques and the mutual enjoyment of creating with wood.
Come and see what other woodworkers are creating, share your knowledge, show off your work, expand your skills, pick up ideas, get answers to your woodworking questions and also make new friends.
You are invited to attend one of our meetings (for free). Our meetings are informal and we encourage all members to participate in group discussions. Generally meetings include a guest speaker or a program that is of interest to all, "show and tell" of our members' projects, plus a "tips and tricks" segment. Announcements of special activities in the community concerning our hobby are noted. With membership you are able to access discounts from many local and lower mainland businesses.
Guild members participate in an annual tradition in keeping with the Christmas spirit, build and donate special handcrafted wooden toys and gifts to Sunshine Coast Community Services Society for distribution to area disadvantaged children and families. With a generous grant from Sunshine Coast Regional District, big-hearted donations from Lehigh Materials and Sunshine Coast Community Forest, plus a portion of Woodcrafters' membership dues make it possible to purchase materials to build these special toys and gifts.
The Guild hosts a pot luck dinner Christmas party, and a 2x4 Challenge Wine and Cheese social. Spouses or partners are invited.
Our meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month (except July and August), 7:00 PM at the Chatelech Secondary School- Sechelt.
Our annual dues are $40 per adult or $50 per couple.
No matter what your skill level is, or, if you would like to broaden your knowledge and learn new woodworking ideas, you will feel at home in our club.
